Murrell Cemetery
Barren Co., KY 


This cemetery is located on the James Chamberlain 
farm on South Fork road and adjoins the Dearing 
cemetery. It was at one time fenced. Today the fence 
is down and the stones exposed to cattle. This 
cemetery contains a Revolutionary War soldier. The 
Murrell slave graveyard is on another hill south of 
this one. Legend has it that many of the Murrells and 
slaves packed up and left Barren County by wagon 
train during the Civil War.
