N.D. Thelmer Willoughby, age 64, of Welches Creek, Kentucky, died on Saturday, 
May 24, 2003 at the Bowling Green Medical Center. 
 
He was born on March 17, 1939 in Butler County, Kentucky as the son of Delmar and 
Artie Lacefield Willoughby. 
 
He was preceded in death by two half brothers, Arlos and Prayther Willoughby. 
 
He is survived by his wife, Lottie Young Willoughby of Welches Creek; two sons, 
Carlos Thelmer Willoughby of Clarkson, Kentucky and Arlos Delbert Willoughby of 
Caneyville, Kentucky; two daughters, Carla Ann Flener and Charlene Willoughby 
Brooks, both of Caneyville. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Garrett, Brianne and 
Alaina Willoughby of Clarkson, and Travis, Nicholas, and Kaitlyn Willoughby of 
Caneyville; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Willoughby of Clarkson, two 
brothers, McClellon Willoughby of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Charles Gaston 
Willoughby of Louisville, Kentucky; four sisters, Arnola Bishop and Ortense Hunt, 
both of Morgantown, Kentucky, Cordie Bryant of Louisville, and Ruby Jewell Embry of 
Owensboro, Kentucky. 

*NOTE: Thelmer & Lottie were married 10 May 1958.
 
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 26, 2003 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in 
Caneyville with Rev. Edward Dermitt officiating. 
 
Burial was in the Chapel Union Cemetery.
